HACCP detectable products
What are detectable products?
Detectable products are tools, accessories and consumables made of plastics enriched with additives to enable detection by inspection systems (e.g. metal detectors or X-ray machines).
Their use significantly reduces the risk of physical contamination (e.g. with plastic or metal fragments).
In food processing plants, this is a requirement under HACCP, GHP/GMP procedures, as well as BRC and IFS standards. Typical applications for detectable products include working on packaging lines, in production departments, clean areas and when operating machinery in the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries.
